Questions about the Zune Software

Hi i'm new here and have a couple of questions. Since I was a ipod user (my wife has one) I wanted something different and went and buy a ZUNE since I'm only use to use the itunes software I was hoping o find the Zune software a lil more user friendly than the itunes.

ok 1) I instaled the Zune software at work and connect the zune as a guess since I dont have music in my PC at work, so I connect the zune and I can see the music in the zune but for some reason I can't play the music that is in the zune why is that is that normal since I use to di that with my wife's ipod.?

2) How can I use the Zune with the media player 11? I connect the zune and the media player doesn't detect the zune how taht works?

3) IF I have the zune configure with my laptop and i want to make the PC the home of the zune am I obligated to sync wit the PC?

First of all, if you were able to do this with your wife's iPod is simply because it was an iPod, and that you're not able to do this with your Zune is that it's a Zune it doesn't have that feature. I just tested it out and you're right, it won't play your songs in guest mode. Possibly something that can be fixed in a future update.

Since the Zune can't be used as an external HD, the only thing that will see your zune is the software. So no support for WMP 11. (yet?)

I'm not to sure what the question is.. but umm.. I thing what you would want to do if you don't want to sync your songs from your main pc is to click on sync options (in the software) and under that uncheck sync zune automatically (something similar, atleast)

try this...

in the zune software, connect your zune, then at top right change to play mode. select songs or something on the left at bottom of list, and you can select the files on the list from your zune and drag them to the right hand playlist box and it will ask you if you want copy the songs to your computer. not positive if this will work. or is this what you already tried?
