wet... dunno man. You're running as admin, right? You might try downloading directly off the zune.net website, just to make sure it's complete and everything.
wladi and theFunk... the Zune software is meant to only work on US windows based OS's. Maybe they're cracking down on that. I see it say EULA (End User License Agreement), so maybe there's something in there about what acceptable OSs there are.

finally got it working, i had to do a **** load of windows updates, like 83, first one all year.
it was the same thing on my work pc. the new firmware is updated now, SWEET!!!
man this thing flies considering I only have 200+megs left on my zune 30.
I like the size of the font while in use mode, still don't like that big font's on the front.
marketplace is a no go for me, come on MS give Canada the goods. same as the zune original site.
right now no work will be done today. hehe..and project is do soon. software is sweet, I just have to get use to it.
thanks for the help guys. may the zune be with you.

I'm having issues as well. It installed fine, but when I launch the program, it runs but the graphics are all distorted so I have no idea what it's telling me. The old software worked fine for me graphically, but this new one is all distorted. Anyone else have this or know how to fix it?

From Zune Forums;
If you've experienced problems installing the latest Zune software and setup tells you that you are missing a package, please download the following bundled installer.
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...unePackage.exe
1. download package
2. run package to extract to your computer
3. go to directory that you extracted to, run startzune.exe
4. proceed with installation, following instructions

I have Vista. I tried to download the update but it wouldn't work. I got the following message.
Installation Failed
Setup must stop because the required package '%1!s!' failed to install.
Error code: 0x81000109
http:go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=101253
So I unistalled the program and tried again. That was a big mistake cause I can no longer download the program. I updated my PC and restarted the computer. Same message. I downloaded the package directly from Microsoft. Same message. I'm at a loss.
Edit: Package Worked. Dumb me. I didn't even go through it at first. I was still trying to upload the software without the contents in the package.

Reason: Never mind. I didn't bother going through the package. It worked. Thanks.
