I'm at a loss with software+Vista

Okay, I'll try to explain this as best as I can. I've downloaded the Zune software from Zune site maaaaany times and when I try and open it, nothing would show up, just a blank brown screen. So, I adjusted the properties to run in the XP service pack. The software, when opened, then showed the Zune cube. The next screen was one telling me that I needed Administrative Rights to run it. There is only on profile on my computer, and it has the administrative rights. So, I'd close the software, and 'run as administrator'. Once I did that, it just went back to blank, brown screen.

I've downloaded the Zune Installer (and additional program to go with it, to be on the safe side). That didn't work either. It said I needed administrative rights to install the zune software.

I've disabled everything I can in the control panel. I've done everything I can do, and it's just not working.

Any suggestions?

Well, re enable everything and download and install SZIP.
It also sounds like you may be running the software under a "Limited" account.
Make sure you run it under an administrators account.
Run it as Vista.
