Well last week I was running on an English Vista Ultimate but 32 bit edition.
But this week I began running a 64 bit edition but in Spanish. I remember that on XP this was an issue and a fix was required, but now I just don't know, the installer starts, and "searches for updates", after telling me that no update was found I only have the option of closing the application, so this is either a 64 bit lack of support, if so may this be taken car of on the november 13 update, or is this just a problem with my "spanish speaking" system?. Thanks in advance ![]()

Technically, the zune software is only meant to be run on US-based XP/Vista computers, but I've heard of 64 bit problems in the past. You willing to wait and see if you get anything from the new software?

Im expecting for either a fix, just as someone did a tiny batch for the xp version on January, or support for 64 bits.
Non-us xp systems lacked a users folder or something that's what the batch afore mentioned did. As far as I know on the web there is some way to make xp64 bit work, I don't know if it is needed in vista, or is the 64bit version vista natively supported?. Otherwise I'll have to "get" a US 64 bit vista, I'm not really fond on that. So funny I hadn't found people with this problem yet

What version of the software are you running? Supposedly, 1.3 fixed 64 bit issues.
A quick google yielded this website. I'd see if they've got any useful information over there: http://amazingtechs.com/index.php?showtopic=29144

1.4 says the zune, the software comes right from the zune website.
And my problem comes since the installing part, it just tells me there are no updates, and gives me no choice but to close the program. Vista detects the Zune but just sends me to the zune.net page to get the "driver"

Hmm. You might need to delete your current install and install freshly.
Use Unzoone to uninstall: http://remove-it.org/tools/unzoone And then re-install using SZIP: http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/com...0506-szip.html

The thing is I can't even install, I get the welcome screen from the setup program, Click next, it begins looking for updates, I wait about two minutes, during the waiting I can see the "next" button faded, and the cancel button available, the an announcement that no software update was found and now, only a "close" button.
So nothing has been installed, nothing can be installed, in order to try any hack or something, I even tried running the zunesetup on Xp service pack 2 compatibility mode, but the same result, just the option of closing after the usual look for updates failed.

SZIP is a watered down install so it skips a lot of the crap the normal program installs. I'd still run unzoone and then try it with SZIP. There's no guarantee it'll work, but it's something to try.
Alternatively, take a look at this thread. Might be of assistance: http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/zun...re-though.html
