Would you rather be blind or deaf?

If forced to choose, would you pick to be blind or would you pick to be deaf?

Both would suck but I would say blind because I would miss music too much. I could imagine pictures in my head but it would be harder to imagine sound. I don't think I could live without music...

i'd rather be deaf

i mean, when you're blind you need someone to help you around all the time.

but when you're deaf, you can still be independent and use sign language.

Even though they both suck, I would rather be deaf, because you would still be able to do alot of things, whereas being blind you would need help to do almost everything.

Easy for me....... If I had to choose then I would rather be blind.
Believe me not that much people can say that they can see things with their eyes closed but I can.
I can picture the world or a better vision of the world behind my closed eyes whereas it is difficult for me to imagine a person's voice and what it would sound like.
And that is why I would prefer to be blind.

I would never give up my vision... I would miss music a lot but I don't know what I'd do if I can see things anymore.

I'd give up vision... I have to listen to music almost 24/7 else i'd go crazy.

Yeah as much as I like hearing, I would give it up before I'd give up my vision. You can still do a lot of things if you can't hear. You cannot do as many things if you are blind.

Yeah I did realize that being blind would make you much more dependant on other people than being deaf but I just don't think I could give up music. I do really hate having to rely on other people but I would still give up seeing before I'd give up hearing. You have all made some good, interesting points. lol @ Mr. Munke "looking at boobs" ...wow, just wow. But valid point I guess XD

I would just use my sense of touch to feel my boobs then close my eyes and picture how they would look.
You don't really need eyes to imagine boobs.

Blind or deaf...hmm..That's hard.
I think I'd pick deaf. I can still play guitar if I really wanted to (like Beethoven), and I don't be so depended on people as much.

Ha, yeah if I put "neither" as a choice everyone would pick that of course. I know it's really tough to choose. I wanted to see which one more people would pick, I was curious.

I hate to say this but I would rather be deaf. I'd most likely never hear my favorite artist of all-time (Cam'Ron) or any one else that I was really into, but thats only one of my loves. I would still be able to enjoy games and sports (to some extent).

Id be deaf. I mean, Ive heard of stories where deaf people could still dance to music and stuff because they hear the vibrations from the base and other low frequencies. Being into trance and all, I dont think I would miss out on a substantial aspect of the genre being deaf.
