The King
You know the King, praises to his name I will bring.
I want to make his miracles become lyrical.
He calmed the storm, returned it to the norm.
The scriptures are of holy pen, meant to keep us from sin, so I ask you, let god within.
one night the lord took a cup and poured,
along with the bread, this he said
"this is my body and blood" his promises aren't a dud
I never had a father figure, so God the father didn't really trigger
when I ended my search, I was baptized in my church.
We have a savior, his name is Jesus
He will never leave us
It's heaven or bust, dont gotta worry cus the one I trust
We have a messiah, who aint a liar
Thanks to him we wont be in the fryer.
We serve the risen Christ, who paid the price, his sacrifice
I'll admit I struggle with temptation, with videos of fornication in syndication
This is the verse I hear, "you will not be tempted beyond what you can bare"
There is no community in communion
How are his works to be done, if we can't even get this one
Don't focus on Jesus being up high, but closer to you and I
Make him a personal friend from now till the end
I have learned a lot here from Marshall and Jess, and all the rest
My words to leave you on, "praise the risen son"

Battle Cry
This week I've been hot, I've been sweaty

NYC
This is my first year at NYC
Its been good to me
I may be new to this place
but I know Gods grace
The scriptures told of the Son of Man
Leads us through the promised land
the Jews expected an earthly king
they did not know the grace he'd bring
Thanks to the lord of Israel
Im not going to Hell
I always heard Christ died,
But didn't understand why
Satan is the Father of Lies
dont get why he even tries
from Gods presence we fled
That's why the blood was shed
do not fear pain, sorrow or strife
because we have eternal life
I lose my bible left and right
but im alright in his sight
yet at times I doubt
I just wanna pout
I cry why God why
is this all a lie?
then he shows me
why he chose me
the sheep follow the shepherd
and dont fear the leopard
so dont fear men who struggle with the same sin
but feat the Lord who is truly forgivin'
Judas betrayed Christ with a kiss
I dont know why he did this
Jesus died on the cross, but hope is not lost
because he rose again,
to triumph over Satan

Light
In the beginning God said 'Let their be light'
at first the earth was alright
but then came the sin
but it will be ok in the end
he sent his holy son
so works could be done
he was born in a manger
Satan was in danger
Start of the ministry of the Lord when
He was baptized in the Jordan
and came a voice from above
'this is my son whom I love'
he was humble
never did stumble
healed the sick, made the blind see
and he saved you and me
when he was crucified he cried
'it is finished' and he died
3 days he rose again
seen by 500 men
no need to fear death
for the Lord commeth
preach to evolutionists
tell them why we do this
he is the beginning and the end
he saved us from the lions den
I dont rap this just for fun
Its cus I want to praise the Son
he was like a lamb to the slaughter
whole time trusting the Father

Gods People
I tried to see God in 'his people'
saw nothing but evil
preach about him like they know
but it isn't so
they are no different than the drunks
or Godless punks
They show no love,
but there is a God above.
Him, they didn't help me find
They scarred and bruised my mind.
I try to help them, I tried.
They stay with their selfish pride.
I love the Lord,
but these people can die by the sword.

Self Hate
This hate I have for myself
Is painful and damaging to my health.
what the **** is wrong with me
there is no happiness that I can see.
I am a worthless peice of ****
why havent my wrists been slit?
Intelligence, my only way to advance,
bitterly, I feel I have no chance.
School is filled with jerks.
wonder if one bullet works.
cry myself to sleep
angrily, bitterly I weep.
Can't do anything right
why not end it tonight
I have done nothing good in life
why not use the knife
I welcome the thought of dying,
but on myself I wont be trying.

The Man
He's a bitter old man, hart filled with pain
my every action fill's him with disdain
he has never known joy
he was abused as a boy
he was beaten and hit
so he gets angry and yells and ****
He's burdened by by a heavy load
I won't go down that road.
he turned the beatings into anger
how would I transform the danger?
break through bitterness with light
I will win the fight
his faults will not be my own
I will not be anger prone

Video Games
I started with Mario Bros
kept me on my toes
all that time playing duck hunt
started as a little runt
Then I moved to the Sega
playin Street Fighter as Vega
allways loved Sonic
that hedgehog's iconic
Atari had pitfall and pong
play them all night long
Playstation had Metal Gear
great series that's still here
There was the Dreamcast
Too bad it didn't last
Halo on the Xbox
fans say 'It Rocks'

Suicide's last mile
In the last mile before the end
you dont know what words to send
the last mile of reasons not
to pull gun and fire shot
all that remains to make amends
with family and friends
if you even have that
may just be hate spat
only thing stopping you
is family and friends true
it wont last very long
just feel to wrong
then the question is how
how should you end it now?
no one helped you heal

thanks. im actually performing video games at a retreat tomorrow. the reason I wrote it is because our youth intern has never heard my rap, and he asked me to right something for the trip, and I ask what i should do, and he said "video games"

he mistook it for a deception
spend my days sad and by myself.
the feelings are bad for my health
This struggle with depression
causing a spiritual regression
