ZB Ads

I'm sure that I am not the first to notice nor the last. I've been paying close attention to the "Sponsors" advertisement bar on the right side of the forum and the clever way that there seems to an advertisement that is appropriate for something in whatever thread I may be viewing. i was in the Religion forum earlier and there was an add for "Hot Christian Singles" or something like that...

So what kind of crazy **** have you guys seen over there?

It's called Adsense, contextual ads. Most sites have it. There are some classics, like the news story about a toddler killed in a fire with the conextual ad saying "Burn baby, burn"

I'm aware of what it is... google implements in gmail as do a lot of other sites. I've just never really paid close attention to it...

I don't see adds... sorry but I have a magical addon called adblock which removes all of those ugly adds for me... and if misses one... I just adblock it and then i never see it again

but they're everywhere... one day I decided to just turn off my magical adblocker and see ZB but then I was scared by all of those adds they were eveywhere! everywhere I look! Adds! even in the posts! so I immediately turned it back on... and now I'm happy where I am.

yes... I know... I'm not saying that they're not necessary or proper... but I just don't like seeing them... I use addblock so that they're not loaded for me.

they don't nother me either. I don't really mind. I use to be a premium member and I didn't see the ads, but now I do. I don't mind though.

I saw that on Digg when it was there... Good times, good laughs.

As for what I've seen around here... Not really anything much.. Mostly Zune related ads, but as of yet I have not found out why, but I do have a hunch that witchcraft is involved.

I see celebrity ads all the time and I love them I was so tempted to click on one.
Adblock I believe is just a drain on memory anyways.

For a good laugh, here's something KIND OF related to what we are talking about (pictures popping up based on the site we're viewing):

First, look at the topic in big, bold, blue letters. Then look at the picture to the right.
