A rehab type place where they can discover the joys of life...hmmm...that could work....

Since some emo people cut themselves and are so depressed and well down because they dwell on all the bad and sad depressed things in their lives. From things that happened in the past to things that are happening to them now. They dwell on the bad in their lives so much that they put them self in a mental situation that makes their lives seem so bad and worse then it normally is to an extent that they want to die and just give up on life.

But yeah Hannah's story is so sad...I feel bad for the parents.

i do feel bad for the parents, yes, but would anyone here not have their child see a therapist if you fond that they had been cutting because they wanted to be initiated into the "emo lifelstyle" i know i would.
and if hannah really thought that emo was just for looks and music, she had it all wrong. scene is about looks and music, emo kids are scene kids but with problems in the past/depression/a lot of hatred for the world, which makes them think about what it would be like if they commited suicide

flaming hot cheesecake?

o.O i'm confused

i wonder how they'd do in rehab. would they go to a Christian camp . . or just one where everyone's super happy and stoof?

they should get a random emo off the street and stick 'em in a rehab like place and run some tests. :] sounds like fun

Well... yeah it wouldn't work though... b/c an emo kid always sees anything even small becomes somethings horrible for them, they can never be changed, for only they can change themselves no amount of help will change the emos. The cutters maybe but still not that likely.

What I mean is...

How many names are there these kinds of people
Emo?
Cutter?
Gothic?

See?

And if you see someone on the streets, at work, or at school, do you go up and ask them, "Hi there, would you describe yourself as Emo, Cutter, or Gothic? Thank you for your time"

It's sad that her parents had to lose their child but if her father saw the cuts he should have done something about it. It's also sad that she succumbed to the pressures of society in order to "fit in" and "be cool" or whatever she was aiming at. Also, a band cannot be blamed just because a fan of the band responded to their music radically. I am personally not an MCR fan but I don't think they deserve blame. I think labels like "emo" are stupid and avoid these sort of fashion trend crap things like the plague. If trying to be an original makes me an outsider, then so be it. I would rather stand alone.
