Honda Or Toyota?

I have been seeing the new Honda ads for their Civic Hybrid and how they bash on the Prius from Toyota, claiming it "looks like a block of cheese"

and cant help but compare it to the apple ads bashing MS. I will admit i drive a '90Celica GT-S. Nothing against Honda, its a good company with a lot to offer but i just wanted to know what others thought of my comparison.

Well, the Prius looks like a hybrid 'should,' is why most people probably criticize it. The Civic hybrid is just a Civic that saves you gas.

Speaking from experience, the Civic hybrid is pretty nice, and it does indeed get great mileage.

That's true. My point here is that becuase of those ads i have come to think less of Honda for bashing down the Prius based on looks when the Prius clearly gets more mpg. Remind you of people hating the zune because it looked "ugly" and "brick-like"? yes they both look different than anything out there but they bring more to the table.

Im a Honda fan. Can't say Im diggin the hybrids of any company though.

Yeah the civic hybrid isnt bad at all. The civic hybrid is what a hybrid should look like!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And PLEASE for the love of god, dont EVER compare the zune to a Prius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Niether one of those manufactures make cars that perform. Drive a corola....then go drive a nissan or mazda3/6.

With how the gas prices are now im pretty sure he isn't going for performance, just by looking at these two companies it looks as if he is going with efficiency and some performance, but yes you are right.

Ok now to clear up the almighty myth that Toyotas and Hondas last forever. ITS NOT TRUE! So just go with whatever car you want usually they do require less maintenance but not much less. The chances are you aren't going to have the car longer than 200,000 miles anyway so it doesn't really matter. Dont get me wrong I love my Honda, and I may be a bit biased because its been so great to me even at 150,000 miles, but with the most unbiased view I can give is get what you want never go with a particular company but go with the models as every company has good models and bad models.
