So my Zune stopped working today. I connected it to my laptop via USB (like I always have) and Windows recognizes it, but can't fully install it because it says "Access Denied"

If I try to open up the Zune software, I can't sync my music...it says device not connected.

I'm not sure what happened? Any advice?

EDIT: I also tried the reset trick with no luck (Hold back button/up button for 10 seconds)

Maybe you have a faulty wire or USB port. Try moving it to a different port and seeing if it works.

Also, please, use the edit button instead of double posting

I tried moving it to every USB already, no luck

I'll try a different cable tonight...although if the cable was bad, Windows wouldn't recognize it all...right?

So I tried a brand new cable, still nothing. I didn't really think it would be the cable though as the Zune still charges when plugged in, plus Windows recognizes it when plugged it...It just won't allow it to 'connect'

Help, please!

have you tried doing a firmware reset on the device?

I believe I did. If you look at my original post, I did some sort of reset. Is that a firmware reset?
