Angry Zune 80GB Issue

Firmware:3.2
Zune Type: 80GB
Time of possession: 2007
Any Damage (Please specify, Hardware): None
Time of problem beginning: 10/08/09
Unofficial Games (Software): NONE
Description of Problem:

Two days ago I got my zune out and decided to put some music on it. I updated my zune software to
the 4.0 version and updated my firmware on the player also. When I start adding music to my zune
it will get to about 13%-16% complete and then hang. After a few minutes the zune software on my
computer stops showing anything being transferred to my zune and my zune device stays on 13% or 16%.
If I close the software my zune will go back to being connected and then as soon as I open the software
back up my zune starts trying to transfer the files again. It's an endless loop. I've tried formatting
installing the firmware over again, but nothing has worked so far. I tried to look for this problem on
this sight as well as others, but have had no luck. I don't get any errors or anything like that. The
zune software just acts like it transferred all the files and the zune just hangs on the percentage it
stopped on. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Paul

Default Update

I'm going to try uninstalling the 4.0 software and installing the 3.0 software instead.

Update: Didn't work. I re-installed the 4.0 software and am still having the same issue. This time it got to 17%.

Today my zune started doing the same thing over again. Could it be that my hard drive in my zune is failing? Is there a way to check? Sorry for all the posts, but it's $139 for a new hard drive, $159 to send it to Microsoft, or $169 for a new one on ebay. I'm broke so if I can just fix it myself without having to pay for something it would be great.

Thanks
