Well, honestly, instead of testing it out to see if it worked right away, you should have let it sit for a few days in order to dry it out, but that point is pretty much moot at this point.
Personally, I think that you should take guitar912's advice if you want to get the Zune HD, but otherwise, try to repair it. I don't really know of any ways to go about doing so off of the top of my
head, but I'm pretty sure that there are ways out there.
