HELP! Cant get music on Zune!

I have an 8GB Zune and can't get music on it. I have downloaded all the music I want onto my computer, my problem is my pc won't recognize my Zune. I also can not get the Zune software. when I try to go to Microsoft site, it just says "cannot find server" and will not go to the website. How the hell can I get the software on my pc? Tried Zune.net, microsoft site, all and none will let me load. I can get it started but then it comes on the screen that says "microsoft update required" but when I click the link to update it says "problem loading page". Can I not do it with Windows XP? I'm getting fed up here! Thanks

I do know for sure that you have to have the zune software for it to work.

Try this;
Go to microsoft.com and check to see if there's any updates for your computer. Make sure everything is updated on your computer and then try to install the zune software again.
