Unhappy No Zune connected!

I just bought the Zune 120 GB HDWR.
I've installed the software, uninstalled it and installed again.
Tried every USB port on both computers that I have....
Checked the device manager...
Read every "Support" article on Microsoft and followed all the instructions....
Checked that the latest version of the software is installed (yes), although each time I open the program I get the C00D11CD message that I DON'T have the latest version and I go BACK to the support page and go over it all again and again.
The computer makes the sound of the USB plugged in and all but....
The software shows on the bottom left corner: NO ZUNE CONNECTED
and I don't see the hardware in MY COMPUTER, like I ususally see with other hardware USB (camera, cell phone etc)
I am really frustrated - I bought this as a gift for my son as it was recommended to us although he wanted an IPOD.
What in the heck do I do?????

I'm having the same problem with my new Zune 4Gig. I installed the Zune software for my operating system WindowsXP. I've uninstalled it and re-installed it multiple times but I still can't find my Zune.

I too chose Microsoft over Apple. This is pissing me off. I just spent over 100$ on it and it won't work.

It has the little battery on the screen showing its charging but the hardware isn't showing up on my computer!

Make sure you re-download the drivers.

Which drivers? Do you mean the zune software from their website? If yes then I installed it, uninstalled it and installed again and still nothing.
