Zune 80GB Won't Update
On my way home, I'd been having some problems with my Zune: it kept freezing and it wouldn't play songs for longer than 17 seconds. When the songs stopped playing, they appeared to still be streaming, but I couldn't hear anything. I tried to restart my Zune several times but it didn't help.
When I came home, I installed the new Zune software update. The programme wouldn't recognise the player, so I erased all the content from my device. The usual, "Connect to your computer, etc." message showed up. I connected my Zune and a window popped up saying, "To continue using your player with this computer, you must first updated your player!" I've tried to update it and have tried restarting the Zune, the programme and my computer, but the update always stops at, "Step 2 of 4... Copying to Player... 2%".
I have no idea what to do. My warranty ended six days ago.
