Default 4Gb refuses to turn on

My sister's 4gb wont power up...I've tried it on my computer and obviously hers. Ive also tried connecting it straight to the power outlet via ipod connection, which works for my 30gb. I have no clue why this happened. Please help out a sexy retired moderator <3

let the zunes battery die completely (leave it in a dark dry place for about 3 days) then connect it to the software and it should work

Sounds like the battery may be busted.

is the warranty up? if so check with rapid repair to see how much a new battery would cost.

Does it give you a faint battery icon that goes away after a few seconds? My 80 was doing that and after running out of ideas to fix it I gave it a good little slap against my palm and it came right back to life. I guess it just needed a hefty wake up call.

Nope, nothing at all, just a black screen.

Well, if that's the case, it sounds as though the warranty period is over. Also, I'm pretty sure that the battery is busted, so if you really feel the need, try taking the battery out and reconnecting it after waiting a little bit. Then, try plugging it in to see if it starts working again.

I forgot to mention that my Zune was plugged into the computer and I waited until the faint battery icon appeared after pressing the play button before laying the smack down. Maybe that will help?
