I just got my Zune 120gb for xmas and it's sweet but when I play videos or view pics I can see some pixels of white. I wouldn't classify them as hot pixels because if I tilt the screen I can't see them. Would they be dust? I haven't even put it in my pocket yet, it's just been next to my computer and in my hands! There's about ten of these "pixels" [or specks I guess] scattered about the screen.
I read in another thread that I'm best off trying to exchange it, but I really don't want to go through that. And trying to fix it is not worth it. Should I just get a skin or screen protectors and avoid getting more? Is there any way to get rid of them easily? ![]() |

This "dust" is likely under the screen, it's one of the more common uncommmon manufacturing errors. Trying to fix it is most definitely not worth it since it will void your warranty. You can try calling 1-877-GET-ZUNE and see if you can get a warranty replacement but...probably not worth it if you can live with it, since it's brand new. If you can get it replaced at the store, that's definitely your best bet, as you'll for sure get a new one instead of thew refurbs that often come from MS.

its probably dust and i had to live with it until the screen broke and i turned it in for warranty i highly suggest getting a case or a protective sleeve on the whole zune (it's less bulky for the protective sleeves)
