when i watched my zune 80 i accidently dropped it too but it was not a big fall maybe about 6-8 inches, since i was watching a video the video froze. so i turned it off but it would not turn back on... i tried plugging it in to my laptop and it booted up perfectly and all my songs and vids were still there. try plugging it in to your computer or laptop

Try a hard reset.
Hold back (<-) and down on the d pad for 5 seconds

I've dropped my zune 30 like 4 feet onto cement, has a chip in it. But still works fine.
