So a couple of you said it had to do with static electricity?

How would that be introduced to my zune?

Reset ur zune (back+up)
hard reset (back+left+center) which will delete all ur media and firmware

It might be a static problem, does it happen when you're walking or wearing a jacket or something? Or does it happen like out of the blue when you're doing nothing.

that used to happen to mine. it got to the point where it wouldnt stop resetting itself. so i sent it back and got a new one.
