Default Zune 80 will not do anything

I have had my zune for four months, absolutely flawless, I usually leave it in the docking station. Last night I listened to it for a couple of hours and when I finished I paused it and just left it on my desk. This evening I wanted to use it and it won't turn on. Just dead will not do anything. I have read the board and it seems like the battery is drained. I have had it plugged into the ac adapter for about four hours now and still no response, no faint charge light, nothing. Have I given it enough time on the charger to see something?

Can you sync it to the zune software atleast??? If so do a hard reset, sync it to the zune software. Go to settings then device and then choose the option to wipe it clean. After this download the firmware over to your zune again and resync everything.

If you can't sync it to the zune software. Then all you can really do is call Microsoft and send it in for repairs. 1-877-GET-ZUNE (438-9863)

i would have to say just be pactient and and you should plug it in hold play and see if you see a faint battry with lighting bolt beacuse in my cause it wouldent even show me the battry not hooked up to the charger and i had charged it 3 days in a row and just keep every couple hours pressing play to try to turn it on sooner or later i belive it will turn on
but hay mine might have just been lucky i hope yours is the same

It will do nothing. Just as if the battery is not even in it. I just thought If I left it on the charger the battery would come back. Oh well!! Thanks for your quick reply.

Yeah, you'll have to call Zune support. Looks like you'll have to send it in for repair/replacement.
