I'm not a noob with computers but I can't get this to work.
I have an 80 gb Zune, with a Linksys WRK54G router. I have a WPA-Tkip key on my internet connection. I am using the latest software and firmware. I have a Zune Dock. My zune syncs perfectly with the sync cable, but not wirelessly. It freezes up at "Connecting to PC". Then it says "Could not connect to PC. Make sure you are logged in." I am logged in. I'm an administrator. I have followed multiple tutorials. I can't get this thing to work. My computer is connected wirelessly to the internet.
are you logged into zune marketplace? that fixed mine. but if not, wired syncing works much better

I have one computer connected to the LAN part of the router. I have alos tried disabling my firewall on both the router, and my software one (Zonealarm Free). I don't know the IP address of my zune, so I couldn't tell what the logs say.
does your desktop have a antenna thing on the back for the wireless access? if so you might need to put that cards MAC address into your routers acceptable devices for the wireless sync to work with your zune.. i had to do the same thing when i got my z80 and it works perfectly for me now.
PS.
your computer has to be connected directly to your router for you to do that.

Reason: forgot to mention
He doesn't need a wireless network card to be able to sync zune wirelessly. All he needs is a wireless a/g access point/router if you prefer to call it that.
My guess is that zonealarm is messing everything up. Try turning off zonealarm and try the wireless sync process again.
i linked my 80gig zune wireless to my linksys router model wrt45gs version 5 without any problems and i had my firewall turned on in the zune.net software settings all i had to do was enter the ssid name and my 10 digit number password and put the setting on WPA-PSK (AES) but if you leave the zune wireless turned on and the zune player turned you will drain the battery this i had all ready found out and had to call the zune support number and my zune is even linked to my xbox 360 with out any problems
I finally got it. I unzooned my system. Rebooted, cleared the registry of errors using CCleaner. Then used the Zunepackage.exe to install Zune again. After that, it worked.
