Well today I just happen to make a big mistake in placing my 80GB zune in my side pocket of my hoody.
Well I'm sitting down at my desk and drops, I've dropped it a few times, but I guess this one landed the hardest on the school floor.
I check it over and it seems alright, screen is good, exterior is good excet for a corner that has been sorta dented a little from impact.
Anyway when I try to turn it on, it goes to the zune loading screen and doesn't load anything then goes to an error screen (I guess) that has the number #5 in the top corner and says contact support.
seems like it might be a hard drive failure after dropping a few times... you have to call microsoft to replace it mainly.. 877-get-zune... or you can try doing more resets.. and see will it work...

Yeah do what runtohell121 said, but hopefully your zune is still under warranty. Just call MS about it, they'll probably send you a box to send yours in for repair or for a new one. Good Luck! Also be ready to be bombarded with tons of questions if it's going to be your first time calling customer support.

Yeah most likely, because I can no longer hear anything moving or anything when I turn it on.
Don't listen to runtohell121... if one reset doesn't work neither will twenty more..
If you still have your warranty just get it replace from where you bought it.

My cousin bought mine over at Best Buy in DC, I'm currently in Uganda, how do I get it fixed? Oh, and he bought it in December, so I think the warranty is still valid.
So I called it in a couple days after I posted this.
I sent it in, and checked on the repair status on zune.net.
I noticed about a week ago it said they had shipped it out but when I used the tracking number that was listed Fedex said it wasn't valid.
So I decided to wait and give it some time but so far nothing as come, now when I check zune.net/repair it says that their is no current repair on it.
I think I'm just going to call Zune and see what the status of my Zune is.
It having no current repair means that you'll probably get your replacement Zune very soon. That happened to me the same day I got my replacement Zune 80. I'd still call Zune support though.
I was told by Zune Support that if the Zune looks like it was damaged (i.e., the dent you noted), they will refuse to repair it and just send it back as-is. I've read lots of postings on zune.net's forums where people have confirmed this. So don't be surprised if they don't fix it. Wish you the best of luck, though.

Good thing the dent was small, and unnoticeable unless you were putting it through a 5 point inspection.
I talk to a lady yesterday, she checked up on it and said my Zune would arrive tomorrow.
Well it did, and I now have a brand new Zune 80
They even gave me the little cover sleeve, why didn't they include that in the in the retail box?

I had one or two minor dents on my Zune and they replaced mine. I suppose they decided they didn't damage the Zune in a significant way.
