Default Frozen on Logo and Can't Reset

My 8GB zune has been frozen on the startup logo screen for the last few hours. I've tried resetting it (back button + up), but it will not reset. I've tried connecting it to my pc, but the app doesn't recognize that the zune is plugged in. I'm hoping that the battery will die sometime by tomorrow and it will shut off. But, other than that, does anyone have any suggestions?

The logo screen is gone now...it looks like it is off. I can not turn it on. When I plug in the synch cable, the charging screen appears, but I can not turn it on and the zune software does not recognize that it's connected. I'm guessing I need to have the hardware replaced...but if anyone has any resolution ideas that don't involve sending my device in, I'd love to hear it.

another follow up...I left my zune plugged in longer to charge more and now its back to normal. I am guessing that the logo screen being on for hours did in fact drain the battery.

support pointed me to this article:

didn't help too much because the reset didn't work, but drained batter did.

You could try thowing it at a wall or running it over with a car. Since a Zune can withstand all of these things.
