can't delete zune 80

I so need help.
I cannot delete songs off my zune 80 player.
I delete them completely from my hard drive,
to the point where i don't see them in the software
from either my hard drive or my player.
But when i unhook the usb cable and scroll through the player,
the songs are still there.
I'll have the same song listed on the player 10 times, for different songs.
The song isn't anywhere on my computer anymore. I've checked.
Can anyone help so that I don't have to delete everything and start all over?

weird... are you using the zune software correctly? to delete songs on your zune 80 is remove from device in the zune software..

yes.
I removed from device using zune software.
I then went to the location of the album to
check to see if it was in fact deleted.
It was.
Yet when I unplugged my player and checked,
there the songs were.
So the songs are no longer showing up on my software,
or my computer for that matter,
but are still showing on my zune player.

try reformatting the whole entire zune and then resync the music you want.. like erase all content button... on the zune software.

I was hoping there was another way.
re-syncing 12,000 songs is a little time consuming

well if it doesn't delete it... its like the only way.. or call microsoft/zune..
