Spread the rep. If someone has helped you or they really deserve it or did a good job on something, click the button under their name. Or if you are using the new skin click the button in the top right hand corner of their post.
If you got it for retail price at $200 then return it and buy it online for around $120.

target, i don't think they will accept exchange on a defective item, they will probably tell you to call microsoft/zune instead to get it fixed/repaired

well, if its open.. they'll charge 15% restocking fee anyway... if i were you, and you like playing with things, go buy it at walmart, they don't charge restocking fee, that's the only store left that don't charge stocking fee yet...

Sorry to disagre, runtohell121, but I don't believe that there is any law "requiring" a restocking fee for retailers. In fact, there may be legislation in some states that prohibit such fees, though I'm not sure. I can tell you that here in Maine, there is no such law. Some stores still have such policies, but I believe even Circuit City and Best Buy have relaxed those retrictions somewhat. And they were the worst.
Still, even if the store this person purchased it from charges such a fee, it may be worth it to move on. Though they shouldn't enact a fee for an exchange, I would think....

I didn't know that Target charged a restocking fee.... one more reason not to buy electronics from them. I also don't know that they will exchange it, they will prob tell you to call the manufacturer and deal w/ them. They are stingy w/ their returns and since I'm great at losing the receipt I generally don't buy things from there if I can get them at Walmart. I was able to take the Zune 30 I got back to Walmart and upgrade to an 80 w/o a receipt and no problems, but my box also wasn't opened. GL

+1 I'm pretty sure it's just target and the rest of the stores that insist on the restocking fee. Just because walmart under pays its employees doesn't mean the law doesnt apply to it, which causes me to think its just store policy
