Default help on zune 80.

hey,zuneboards.

I live in Suriname,South America and i registered here because i have a problem with my zune 80, it's the following.

While i was watching a video(btw,i had low battery),i fell asleep on my bed and i'm almost sure i accidentally left my zune on, so when i woke it was frozen on a song and none of the reset combos i tried worked, so i just left the battery to drain and after a while suddenly on my screen the following appeared:

message number 5 or somethin : CONTACT SUPPORT and a pic of a zune with an X through it...........HELP,PLEEEESSSSS!

Yes, multiple times.
And everytime i try, first an image of a battery charging appears(after several minutes) and then (again after several minutes)the zune logo appears for about 40 seconds and then switches to the message(contact support)........

follow my instructions...
1. plug the zune in your computer.. the big battery on your screen is the zune charging
2.when its done charging it will connect to your computer and ir might ask you to reinstall the firmware on the zune and just do it ......

if this keeps happening (the freezing while choosing a song i am suspecting it is a bad file on your zune, idk myself what cussed my zune to do the same but that is what i am suspecting)

hope your zune is back to normal soon

I tried fully charging it ,but it won't go further than one bar, cause after it reaches one bar the zune logo appears and then it goes back to the message (contact support)........ Although i did manage to use the back button+up button reset combo but then it just turns off and i'm back at point blank....
Is anyone of you familiar with this problem??....(my zune software also does not detect my zune when plugged in)

Have you contacted support..?
I guess if a message that says to contact support, I would contact support. Don't want to sound mean or anything.

if you call, mainly just lie about things that could happen to a zune, send it to them, they usually are too lazy to fix it, and they might send you a refurb zune though..

I'm in the exact same situation my friend. My Red 80 Zune just died just after two days of use. It froze on a song then went to the contact support screen. I tried everything including wiping the entire thing clean (data/fw) My advice contact support, (1-877-GET-ZUNE) There extremely friendly and there going to send me a box to send my defective Zune and they'll send me a new replacement Red with same artwork in 15 days. Also, since you from South America I'd advise using a internet site to call them, one that changes your number to US, they might not answer if it's foreign. I hope I helped. BEST OF LUCK!

p.s. Don't tell them you fell asleep. Say you were on the bus or something. Make it sound like it's completely not your fault.

its the mother board. Since you dont live in the us. You should try to find a friend who lives here that can send it in to ms. I had this problem also, not with my 80 but my friends 30 gig.

Okay,so i really wanna call the zune help line, but i'm kinda worried that they won't help me or cooperate because i don't live in the US, so i was wondering if i could maybe first try sending an email explaining my situation so they won't immediately notice that i don't live in the US(i know this may sound kinda useless :s,but it's worth a try.)
......so can anybody maybe give me an email adress of the support departement or somethin' at MS.......??????????
Kinda desperate here....
