I was reading Cam's Button Combos, and have 2questions.

One - What is the difference between sleep mode and deep sleep mode?

Two - If one of the combos for the 4, 8, and 80 let you delete the firmware, why can't someone do that and then put their own firmware on the Zune?

Yeah seriously but...
Sleep mode is just shutting off the screen, it still remembers everything. It's kind of the same as Sleep on computers.
Deep sleep is when you shut down the Zune, same as shut down in computers.

regarding the firmware, there are lots of security measures governing the firmware things like exact size as well as encryption keys and a few others i would wager so you could try to make your own firmware but it wouldn't get past these checks

Also, the previous Firmware were all for the Zune30, so since we know there is different hardware in the Zune80, it might not work as you would hope

Is there a hibernate mode on zune? LOL

Are there any more mod for zune 30 with zune software v1.x other than the asian character hack mod?
