Default Anybody Have Problems With Earbud Connection?

Hi, My first time posting here, I'm happy I found this board.

I have a new Zune 4, and the ear bud connection is very iffy. The slightest movement causes the connection to fail, and I have to fiddle with it to get it to connect properly again. Is this something common in the Zune, or do I have a faulty player?

Thanks!

deriso

First make sure the headphones are in the jack all the way,Second try a differnt pair of headphones. If all fails then more than likely you have a faulty player and call zune support to get it replaced.

I would call Zune support @ 877-GET-ZUNE.

if you think you have a faulty player, call zune/microsoft.

They should fix it and also give you free premium earbuds.

That happened to my first-gen Premium headphones - apparently it was a pretty common problem. The left bud died after a while and I pretty much gave up. From the sounds of it, your problem is probably with the headphones; probably either a soldering point failed or there's some sort of wire breakage inside. I'm not sure what you can do about it, but calling Zune support definitely sounds like a good idea.

I've had my Zune 80 for a week or two now and have yet to have a problem with that and I hope it stays that way.

Sounds like the connector in the zune is broken/soldering point broke. You definetly replace your zune if its under warranty.
