I've been looking for a way to delete all my music for a while. (:
I've tried pressing the back + play buttons at the zune startup(one word?) screen but my music is still there. >.<
i'm still trying to figure out how to delete movies 1 at a time from the zune itself, i seen it had a delete option, but forgot how i brought it up?????? any help?
Eh.. Why aren't these working for me? My back button is screwed up, but it does let me restart so I doubt that is the problem. I'm trying to delete everything on a Zune 8. Let me make sure I understood correctly.
Back + Up = Restart
ON ZUNE SCREEN:
Back + Center + Play/Pause = Delete Content AND Firmware
How long should I press it down? I've done it, but it just goes back to the main screen, and sometimes it restarts again (maybe I moved my finger to up).

Reason: Added Detail
For anyone that is going through a freezing problem with their Zune, then I can vouch for these combos'. I thought I was gonna have to replace my Zune 80 completely, after it froze up while I was trying to play it in my car. I found this thread and did the reset combo (hold it down for a while) and it worked perfectly. Thanks to the person that found these combinations.

does anybody know any key combination that might get rid of the please wait screen? I have had it for a few hours now(earlier it was the error code 5 screen) and I would really like to be able to listen to my music again

What kind of Zune do you have? If you have the newer 4/8 gb or 80, then you should install the new 3.0 software. Once everything is in the software like your music and whatnot, you have the option to delete it from the software. Do that, while the zune is plugged in, and the movies or what ever you want to remove will be gone.
ok look i know some of you may say im stupid why would i do that but when for the first time i (except for the time i installed firmware into my zune when i got it)reinstalling my zune firmware i thought i was doing it wrong and unplugged my zune while it was installing correctly; it froze on the little moving wheel in the zune screen step 3, and i let the battery died and charge it and it starts up on zune logoand black background part and it goes to step 5 and i do the step presented and it goes to step 3 and is still frozen plugged or unplugged from computer and it stay like this every time i repeat my steps
Do these actually work with the Zune 120? I tried to delete all the files from my zune so I pressed the key combination listed here and not only did the songs not delete, but my computer isn't recognizing the zune anymore. So I was going to try deleting the songs and firmware, and I can't get that to work either.

Did you use the ones in the text or in the pictures? The pictures are faulty, and no one on the Support Team has the skill or initiative to fix them so far. Anyway, if you follow this, you should be able to fully clear the Zune:
Hold Back-Up to reset the Zune
When you see the Zune logo:
-Hold Back-Center-Left on a Zune 30
-Hold Back-Center-Play on a Zune 4/8/16/80/120
Connect to the computer to reload the firmware and media

Yay, I got it! It's difficult to press the center button, that was probably the problem. Thanks
Completely pointless, but on the Zune 120( atleast on mine) if you press the back and play/pause button together it makes the music kind of cut out for a fraction of a second, like you got a bad headphone connection.
