Connecting your Zune to your favorite TV ???

i bought a regular 3.5mm jack to an RCA output cable . . . i plugged it into my zune then plugged the RCA end to my regular flatscreen TV . . . ive gone to settings>display>tv output>on . . . it displays something but it appears that the signal is interrupted . . . i tried it on our LCD but it says on the screen No Signal . . . both television sets are multisystem . . . is there something wrong that i am doing . . . is there anything special that i need to change from the tv's setting . . . im pretty sure that its not the cable because ive already tried my friends cable but it still does not work . . . please help i really want to be able to make this work . . . thank you in advance . . .

If you want to connect to your TV don't you need something to connect the Zune's USB type port to your TV? I don't think a regular headphone jack will work.

Because that's headphone imput. Not output.

I'm not sure why it isnt working for you. The cable could be bad. I have one and it works fine but i wish it wasnt blown up in picture.

Is it meant for the iPod? The pinout for the zune is different from that of the iPod so try rearranging the 3 cables and see if you can't get something to work.

it's something wrong with the multi-system...

there's nothing wrong with the cable, and ipod rca cables work on the zune... any rca cable will work on the zune... they're nothing but simple wires.

anyway... try connecting the zune directly to the tv instead of the multi-system adaptor.

your way wrong dude . . . the headphone is output . . . think please your hearing sounds from your headphone then it means its output . . .

i think its not the cable because i tried my friends cable which definitely works and still the picture would not appear on the tv . . .

i tried connecting directly at the back of the tv and tried using the ntsc or pal system on the zune and still the picture does not appear . . . it just shows like a signal being interfered . . .

I ordered a zune video cable this morning...i hope i dont get the same problem..try it in different tvs and see what happens

hm... and you tried with more than one zune right?

maybe it's your tv's rca ports try it through a vcr

I bought cheap $3 AV cables from a discount store. I made sure my zune was set to the NTSC format and popped in the AV cables in a different configuration. I set the Zune to output through the tv and it worked like a charm.

I got the information from THIS WEBSITE .

1. Insert the 1/8th-inch mini-phone plug into the headphone jack on your Zune.

2. Insert the red RCA plug in to the yellow jack on your TV. Insert the yellow RCA plug in to the white jack on your TV. Insert the white RCA plug in to the red jack on your TV. Got that? None of the jacks will match the color of the plugs that are in them.

3.Power on your TV and, if needed, set it to get its signal from the RCA jacks.

4.Power on your Zune if it is not already on. In the main menu, navigate down to settings → display. In the display settings, shown in Figure 2, set tv out to on. The Zune will remind you about turning your unit off. Click OK.

5.That's all you have to do. Your Zune will go dark and the TV will start to display your Zune menus. Use the controls on the Zune to navigate through your menus and access your Zune media.

if this is the case then there is a possibility that cable might not work because the place where the ground is different than the rest . . .
