Am I the only one having this problem

I looked at the previous thread.

My zune will not sync I went through the ms faq and tried their method called the hotline............still no avail my zune shows up in device manager but the actual software cannot detect it to sync odd thing is this only happens on my desktop pc not my laptop the desktop has usb 2 ports and is a fairly new msi board so power should not be the issue the laptop is a compaq 2100us which has no usb 2 and it works like a charm on there any help would be welcomed.

Try unplugging your Zune, then resetting it (Hold on the back button, and the top button). Then plug it in again, see what happens.

Also, try launching the Zune software, going to the "Options" menu at the top of the window, then go to the "Sync" submenu. From there select "Find Connected Device".

If that doesn't work, still from the "Sync" menu, choose "More Options...", then select the "Device" tab. From their see if your Zune device appeares on the list. If so, select your Zune device, and press refresh.

If you are hooking it up to the front USB ports, try a port on the back of the computer.
