I know this sounds stupid, but my Zune won't let me delete photos from the hard drive. I can delete from the playlists, but if I try to permanently delete them, I get error#C00D1238 "Zune software cannot delete the file from device", and "Your Zune is not responding". What the h*** is this about? Anybody? So, how would you (reformat?) to get all the photos off. I just got this thing and I don't have much on it anyway. If I have to, I would just start over. I don't have anything bad on there, I just don't like the way the Zune chose to save the photos to folders, and now it won't let me rearrange them. Thanks for any suggestions.ÂÂ*ÂÂ*B

After you connect it and you do all the intial set up. On the right side where it shows the picture of the Zune. Click on the drop down menu right below the amount filled bar. You should see the name of your Zune. Click on that and there will be another menu that pops up and there should be a format option there.

It says your device isn't responding. I would recommend resetting the Zune before reformating it.
Press the "back" button and "up" button at the same time. After a few seconds the screen will go blank, than it will reboot and you'll see the Zune logo. Then attempt deleting the photos again. |
