The obvious answer is to send it in to some place for repairs.
I guess that you could take apart the Zune and see if there's anything that could be applying pressure to the screen or something like that. When did the problem start, and is the visual effect the only symptom?
sounds like the screen broke. every LCD i have seen broken has done that, the liquid all pools in one place. is the screen seem to be missing any pixels or anything? i agree with Shadow though, you won't really know what is wrong until you take it apart.
Its a broken screen, same thing happened to me with my first zune 30 (fell out of locker lolz) but you can take it in for repairs or you can just live with it since everything still works
