I was just using my Zune yesterday, but today I tried to turn it on but it wouldn't. So I tried plugging it into my computer, but it shows the Zune screen (the progress bar doesn't even show up) and just keeps blinking on and off. When it's not plugged into my computer, it doesn't even turn on. Any ideas?

leave it on and place it on a dark dry place for a couple days and let the battery completely die .. then connect it to the software and it should work
creative zune, I don't think that that will work as he just said that it won't turn on if it's not connected to the computer. If you want for him to try to kill it while it's charging from the computer, there are some flaws with your plan, as it'll keep chargin as it uses power.
I don't really know what to say to this problem. I suppose that you could try to manually remove the battery from the device. That's something that I wouldn't really recommend until you reach the end of your rope, though. I'm sorry, but I don't really know.
(by the way, how do you start a sentence with someone's name if said name is in lower-case?)

UPDATE: When plugged into a wall charger, my Zune appears to be fine. I did a reset on my Zune, deleting everything off the device (including firmware) and got up until the point where it wants me to connect to my PC. However, when I connect to me PC, it goes back to flashing on and off. Am I still completely screwed or what?

That sort of blows. I don't know what taking out the battery would do, to be honest, as I don't have another to replace it.
Removing the battery effectively hard resets the device (in a good way - no data lost). When I had my Zune 30, I had to open it up initially to get it to work.
As Phantom707 mentioned, I wouldn't do that unless you are out of options. It does require a bit of patience, to avoid damaging the hardware.

maybe your usb ports voltage is too low is your pc on power saver settings? just to make sure try and plug it in one of the usb ports on the back of the pc
creative zune, I am on a laptop so there are only so many usb ports I can use. BUT! I left my Zune on the ac charger over night, plugged it into my laptop then put the device on lock then held down back + center + play and unlocked the device. Worked! Syncing as I type! However, I'm not sure if it'll work when not plugged into the laptop. I'll wait for syncing to finish before I get there.

well if it decides to stop working again you can always wireless sync and use the wall charger to charge it
