-Gdi doesn't work anymore.

Here's my story. I bought a Zune 30gb a couple years ago, I installed it and it worked fine for a while. After a few months there was an update, I think it was the 3.0 update. Well after that update, my zune software wouldn't open. It would show under processes when I hit ctrl+alt+delete, but I wouldn't see the actual program. After many hours of troubleshooting I found out about the -gdi at the end of the shortcut target, so it would read
"C:\Program Files\Zune\Zune.exe" -gdi
And my problems were solved... until the next software update. Then the software wouldn't show with or without the -gdi fix. Since then I've searched high and low and tried all sorts of fixes. Downgrading to older software. I've UnZooned and reinstalled countless times. I've tried a few other things but none of them seem to work... If anyone could give me any insight, that would be great.

you may need to reinstall your operating system. Chances are, there are other problems as well.

I did for a while, but after the software stopped working I couldn't add anything new to it. And now for some reason it has nothing on it...

I usually just reinstall my operating system either on top of my old one or into a new /windows2 folder. There have never been any issues for me when doing this.

At the very least, create a new user account and try it from there.
