I've had my 30gb since 07, i mainly use it in the car, plugged into the head unit. Out of no where one day, i click all songs and random. it skips half of my library and plays 1 out of 12 songs, and it also leaves me a message saying "the item is missing or can't be played." I know for sure the item isnt missing (from my pc, atleast) and, I dont know what to do and the radio sucks. any tips?
This is sometimes a sign of a hardware failure somewhere (most likely the HDD) but we'll try to fix it.
First try deleting the 'missing' songs and resyncing them.
If they still are 'missing' try a firmware reset (Warning: This will clear all the content on the Zune):
-Press and hold: Back-Up
-Immediately after the Zune starts up press and hold: Back-Left-Center
-Wait for the Zune to finish clearing the firmware
-Connect the Zune to a computer
