I'm not going to tell you how, because I don't remember, but try searching for the forced hard reset method.. it should delete your datas and any firmware that may be in the zune. I'm just surprised that both the zune firmware, and the backup copy have been annihilated.
Try to find that trick, and try to do it. Respond here when you've done that. (after that you should be able to re-flash your firmware. IF not, try finding the original install CD for zune software and try to install teh original firmware from another computer.
