Question Error C00D1249

I don't know what happened, I was using my zune and the headphones got pulled out, then the screen told me to plug it into my computer, so I did the steps to re-install the firmware updates and this error code keeps popping up. I went onto the zune tech support site and did all of their steps too, still nothing. So I have no idea what to do next. Can anyone help?

I had this error once, on my Zune 30. I did the following to correct mine:

- Disconnect Zune from the PC
- Hold the back and up buttons (to restart)
- Hold the back, left, and middle buttons as it starts. This wipes the drive, as well as the firmware.

YMMV, of course - I've also read that this could also be a HDD or circuit board issue.

Well for me, I just kept trying and trying, eventually after about 20 or so tries, maybe a few more, it worked.

This error code C00D1249 popup when my Zune was trying to
update/recover. I lost hope and got myself a new Zune 120 black
While Searching for answers on Microsoft site i come across :- Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) Fix and it Worked!
So I finally got my Old Zune 30 Working it Turns out the Problem was
With Background Intelligent Transfer Service. All you Have to is Restart the
BITS Service
To do this, follow these steps:

1.On Windows Vista, click Start, type services in the Start
Search box, and then click Services in the Programs list. If you
are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation,
type you password or click Continue
On Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then
click OK.

2.Under Name, right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service,
and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type box, click to select Automatic (Delayed Start)
on Windows Vista or click Automatic on Windows XP, and then click OK.

4.Click Stop, wait for the service to stop, click Start, and then click OK

5.Again try to update the software on the Zune device.
My zune has ever failed since it recovered and to think i was done with it
So now have two zunes........Goodluck
