Exclamation Help for 30 gig??

Okay thanks for all who might help and sorry in advance if this may be a repost.

Ok with a fully charged Zune (30gig) it boots up then the white line starts
at boot up-------- Then it keeps repeating it self. Over and Over And Over.

When hooked up to laptop to charge it boots up displays the menue and even plays!!

Once unplugged it starts to boot up and repeat itself ?

WTH ?
Any clue?

Thanks Corey

ohh i see i found your problem u know it not good to overcharge a battery

meaning it takes about 2hrs to charge and you slept about 8hrs so the zune was overcharged for 6hrs

the battery is the problem and the only solution i have (if any1 else has a better solution go ahead!) is to leave the zune as is until the battery is dead ... then recharge (not over night ) and see if that helps because when you connect it to pc it works fines because its running on the voltage from the usb port. and not the battery

I plug my zune in all night, every night. My Battery is fine.

It could be either the hard drive, or the battery, though. Do what he said and let it die. (making it so the screen doesnt turn off helps) then charge it again.

Smile Target to my rescue!! ( BUY THERE WARRANTY!!)

Okay well nothing seem to help. I did however buy the extended warranty that cost a whole $19.00 bucks from Target. When I bought it new.

Well in there words in the paperwork wear and tear even water damage was coverd 100*/* percent. and if they could not fix it that they would replace it for free!!!!

The warranty is good for Three years ! and after I get it back it will still be coverd. I shipped it out (there dime!) and they said turn around is about ten days.

So I highly suggest when you buy a new one go to Target and buy the extended warranty.

Ps. NO LONG PAPERWORK TO FILE A CLAIM JUST A 800 PHONE CALL !!

qft

Could it be similar to the New Years Eve glitch where all the 30s froze until they died? Sounds similar.

Oh, overcharging batteries does NOTHING to harm them nowadays. That's why you can leave laptops plugged in for so long.

you do realize, that the longer you leave your laptop plugged in, fully charged, witht he battery in, the more wear it puts on your battery, right?

Only if you leave it plugged in for weeks at a time does it do anything noticeable.

Try to wipe the firmware / partition table and reload (keep in mind all Zune data will be wiped):

Or just change screen lock, then enter the wrong one like 10 times and wipe it that way.

Though I don't think that wipes the partition, just the data.
