[SOLVED] Unable to pick up music from hard drive

I have a Zune 30 and recently decided to move all my music into an external hard drive to save my desktop some space. The move was alright and everything I had previously was read. However, when I try to move newly downloaded [be it cd or mp3] directly into the external hard drive, my zune won't pick it up**. In order for my Zune to pick up the new music, I have to save it into my desktop, but that just defeats the purpose of the external hard drive. I already have the external drive folder as a destination for my Zune to get it's music.

Is there anyway I can get my new music from the external hard drive to be picked up by my Zune without having to save it into the desktop?

**By picking it up, I mean getting the music to be added into my Zune library.

Why dont you try to drag the music files onto the Zune software. Select the music and drag it into the Zune software until the mouse has a little plus next to it.

Also, make sure that your drive is connected. Once it's connected, make sure that the software looks for files in those directories. Use the same USB slot every single time you connect your external HDD
