Angry Unable to Connect with computer
Hey all i have a zune 30gb my operating system is windows vista sp1 Im having troubles getting my computer to reconize the device I have been through the board and read everything i can I have also contacted zune (microsoft) they sent me to tier 2 support tier 2 support could not do much for me as i am missing .dll's i have downloaded the software from zune.net the 131MB pack and also the 370mb pack from microsoft and neither of them have been able to help the problem out. I have loaded the Zune Sync Device program and get this report back

I'm missing 8 .dll's I have downloaded the content someone posted on here for the drivers and the .dll's but it is missing the ZuneUsbConnection.dll and the wpdmtpdr.dll, wpdmtp.dll, wpdmtpus.dll I called my computer manufactor as i was told by zune to and get the .dll they could not help me out at all. I was able to go online and download those .dll's but still was unable to find the zuneusbconnection.dll zune told me to reformat the zune erase everthing and try but its not able to work cause it asks to connect the zune to your PC..I have updated my computer numorous times. and even reformatted the hard drive 2 times ( lucky me i had nothing of importance) I know its not my usb connection to the motherboard since i can plug in my thumb drive and that works all well and dandy. I have aslo tried installing and uninstalling and reinstalling the software from both zune and microsoft....Any one else have any other ideas on what to do to get it to work

EDIT okay i tried to download the file from the site it is not letting me download it it gives me this error Download DLL or EXE - Download Download RegCure for Free and does not load the the file to download if i wait awhile it sends me to http://www.filerepair.ca/?CFRD

Hm... Zuneusbconnection.dll doesn't even exist on my system...
Though that may be due to the fact that I'm running XP.
EDIT: Ok, I did some searching and found one solution...

1. Right-click My Computer
2. Click Manage
3. Click 'Local Users and Groups'
4. Double click Groups
5. Open up the Administrators group
6. Click Add
7. Click Advanced... and then Find Now
8. Double click on the LOCAL SERVICE user to add it to the Admin group
9. Click OK

I do not have a local users and groups on the computer management screen im running vista home basic

EDIT: okay i think i found out why it was not loading the .dlls i forgot to do a start>run command of regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\ZuneMTPZ.dll so when i run commands like that i get a regsvr32 error code of 0x80070005

Not yet im trying to uninstall the zune set up again and try doing the regsvr32 again since i was getting a little bit of those error codes registering it. will keep posted

EDIT: Okay here is an update i tried doing like i was planning and still does not work gives me the same error code to the DLLRegisterServer???? I dont know what else to do from there to get it registered with the DLLRegisterServer anyone have any ideas? error code is still 0x80070005
