zune only blinks. cannot start. think not frozen

hello,

i have a big problem with my zune 30. I live in Austria, so sorry for my english. I havn't used it since christmas. I read about the problems with the leapyear and turned it on. No problem. But I heard a terrible noise from the player, sounding like a scraching on the harddrive. I shaked it and heard a little piece inside flying around. So I opened it with my father. unfortunately the mainboard broke next to the audiojack and the lock/unlock switch too.
My father repaired it with soldering it. Now I turned it on, but only black screen. The only thing it does is, when I connect it to the PC, the zune logo with "ZUNE" under it appears and disappers. All the time. The PC doesn't connect with it. It cannot find my zune.

I really know what to do.

Please help me

Try to drain the battery.

Thanks, but I already did it, I also charged it for 12 hours. (the whole time it was blinking)

The zune is still open, I can so something with the battery or the harddisk, if it helps. I also put the battery from the zune, but there is still the same blinking.

now I did following:

I disconnected the battery from the zune and connected the battery with a little bulb to drain it.

I hope this will help.

Zune support won't help out of America. As to your Zune...it just may be dead.

I really love my zune.

I cannot believe that its unrepairable.

you've had to get the circuitry re-soldered, you heard grinding on the hard drive, and the battery seems to not be properly connected (circuitry wise), so if nothing changes between running the zune with battery disconnected and plugged in to USB and running without USB but with battery connected, I might suggest that unless you know an electronics genius, there's almost nothing that can be done.
