Help with Frozen Zune 30s

I have the same problem and i was hoping i could find a solution here
The last time this happened to me, i had to let the battery run completely dead.

Unfortunately, I discovered this problem when i decided to turn my zune on to help me fall asleep. And waiting for it to run dead won't do any good for me now...

Exact same thing happened to me. I was just going to watch my nightly anime to put myself to sleep just to see the loading bar and my sister comes in a second later assuming I broke hers as I did the same to her. Microsoft is tearing families apart. I will sue xD

Is there any common things that were going on:

ex. My Zune was in the dock, music playing, wireless was on, even though it was not syncing at the time of the freeze.

They gave me some spiel about Zune support and only open such and such

this is really bizarre. i had just synched some new stuff at a quarter to midnight on my 30g with no problems. at midnight, the show i was watching was over, so i reached for my zune, hit play and the screen went dark, but you could still see it was lit. i started to do the back+down thing, watched the gray bar load and it's not gone back since.

i'm a little relieved i'm not the only one, but this still sucks!

Yeah I thought of that too, already unplugged mine from the charger.

For me, I was just laying down, listening to a podcast.

It froze, no big deal, and i watched reboot like i have a million times before. But then it froze in place. And won't budge.

Ah, this is my first time on these boards, but I was looking for help with my Zune too; it did this exact same thing like a half hour ago and I can't do anything with it. I'm really curious to know what's going on now.

Edit: I have a 30 GB by the way, have had it for almost 2 years now.

wow, a SECOND thread started tonight about Zunes retarding all over themselves?

I need help with the same problem.
I even tried the untouchable Back + Left + Center combo in addition to cazman's solutions

It didn't work. Any help would be much appreciated.

Mine happened about, eh, 45 minutes to an hour ago, 3:00 AM or 2:45AM Eastern.

**** man same thing happnd 2 me but not with the dock it just stopped at reloaded and is stuck there. and also the hard drive is spinning

Ya, I thought about the whole unplugging it thing.

I'm still having Zune withdrawals...

And this is like the real Y2K, with the whole clock/new year junk... ugh.
