upgraded to 80gb hdd help

i upgraded my 30gb zune to an 80gb no big deal i know a lot of people have done it but mine is stuck on clearing the contents of the old hdd i got it out of a broken ipod my buddy didn't want anymore i got it installed properly but now it wont go past the clearing contents screen i wouldn't worry about it but its been there like 9 hours like this please can anyone help

So you have the firmware up and running on the device, but when syncing the software hangs? I'm afraid we need more info to go any further. Are you upgrading the firmware? There may be some issues with the iPod HD inside a Zune (wow...talk about a switch-a-roo!)

is the ipod hdd a differenet format to the zunes? and also, i think the zune has a partition for the firmware, which the ipod hdd might not
