I have been using my Zune 30GB for some time. I even upgraded the HD before the 2nd generation came out. Just the other day I ordered an iHome ZD9 clock radio for my Zune. I docked the Zune in it and the zune lit up and I could play music, but it wasn't charging. I thought there was a problem with the connection so I tried:
1. My Altec Lansing zune stereo - same thing. The zune will pop on when docked and I can play music, but it won't charge or sync with my desktop. 2. Zune usb cable into usb port. Zune lites up but won't charge or sync. I don't even get the little "ba-bing" sound from my computer wehn a usb is plugged in. 3. Ac charger for my zune. Again, the zune lites up, but isn't charging. My Zune was working perfectly before I plugged it into the iHome clock. I have not dropped my Zune or exposed it to water or anything else like that. HELP! Once my battery drains, the zune will be a very expensive (remember the HD upgrade) paper weight. Jay |

Alright, do you have the latest firmware? That's important. Sometimes docks have been known to screw with even the latest firmware though-hapenned to a friend of mine who had an iPod with an iHome product-so you might want to try wiping it and starting over:
Hold Back-Up to reset the Zune When you see the logo, hold Back-Center-Left to wipe the HD and firmware Connect to the computer to reload the firmware
