Default help with getting songs off zune


so there are songs in my zune that i can't see when i plug it into my comp and use the zune software.

these are songs that were made by a friend years ago (don't know where he is now)and i had on my pc... now i got a new pc cause the other one died and i can play the song on my zune but i can't see it to copy it to my computer i have now.


please help!

Can you see it normally, when not plugged in?

yes i can see the songs on my zune when playing them off it but i can't see them in the software when i plug it in

That's...odd...o.O The only thing that comes to mind is just wiping the Zune software and starting over and see if that fixes it. UnZoone Zune Software Remover

nah doesn't fix any other suggestions to get these off of the zune?

So you can see them while offline. Have you tried going in to the device column. In the Zune software and manually deleting them?

You may need to do a complete restore of the Zune which would set the Zune back to factory settings and erase all content. Simply turn on the Zune and while the boot screen shows, hold all three buttons (the back, center, and play buttons). The Zune will erase everything and then you'll be able to sync what you want.

i can see them on my zune, but the songs won't show up on my computer wheni plug it in.

the problem is i had to get a new computer and i lost irreplaceable songs i had on the old one and the only place they exist now is on the zune itself which they aren't showing up on my pc.

so trying to figure out a way to get them off the zune

You need to install the zune software and connect to your zune as a guest, then you can copy to content off.
