Well this morning when I went to play some music on my Zune I was trying to navigate the main menu normally when all of a sudden it wouldnt respond then the display got all glitch (bunch of zig zaggy lines through it and whatnot) then it reset (and yeah sometimes as of late it would just lock up seemingly at random then need to reset)..but when I tried resetting it today, the white progress bar would load up then nothing...it would just stay on the opening logo with the white bar
eventually that ended up draining the battery completely and I tried charging it on the computer and eventually I was able to see the low battery message with my main menu and everything was looking normal so I just figured I'd leave it charging for a while and do other stuff on the computer THEN all of a sudden I heard the dreaded "hardware disconnected" sound and now the only response I get on my Zune is when I hold down the play button the zune logo will flash a few times!...and occasionally I might be able to get it to try to boot up again but then again the white bar will fill up then nothing Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this. It is WAAY past warranty and I dont exactly have money to be buying a new Zune or really any parts. any help would be appreciated Thanks in advance Last edited by b1zarr0 : 09-30-2008 at 08:42 AM. Yeah the same thing happened to mine yesterday. I had to let the battery drain down then plug it back into my secondary charger. It seems all is fine but I haven't really used it yet so time will tell.
I'm guessing this is all a 3.0 problem. At first I thought the problem was with my new 120... MS needs to fix this problem. ![]() |

hmm
well now I can get the Zune logo and the loading bar then I get a blank screen. I only get this however when I remove the case and that ribbon cable thing that connects the battery to the zune is resting a certain way and while it's plugged in. If I try plugging it in with the case on (or that little ribbon cable type thing NOT in the right position) the zune logo just flashes on and off repeatedly..can someone tell me what gives with that? |
