Sorry if this is a repeat, nothing came up in my search. When I first got my zune I was totally psyched that it paused automatically when I pulled the headphones out. I know it seems like a silly thing to get psyched over but I do a lot of transfering from listening on my headphones to getting in my car and hooking my zune up to my stereo. So not having to physically pause it or be lightning fast with my transfering was a plus. But after about the first update I got on my zune it stopped doing this. I know it can't be the update that did it and I don't mess with the headphone jack too much. Any suggestions?

I have both 3.0 and a 30, and I can guarantee you it always has-since 1.0-and always will pause upon unplugging. The answer is actually quite simple: age. All 3.5 mm TRS connectors damage their sockets every time they are pulled in or out. Damage has simply rendered the circuit that would send the signal to pause incapable of functioning. Unless, of course, it's an upgrade bug, but I've never heard of this before. Most of the bugs have appeared dozens of times on this forum alone.

Its probably a random occurrence within the firmware, because if the TRS or the female end of the 3.5mm socket was damaged the sound would cut out in the headphones.
