I've had my (refurbished) 30gb pink Zune for about a year now and had no problems until yesterday when my screen turned on, but there was nothing showing. I could tell it was on because of the dark grey glow that was the backlight. Yesterday when it first happened I had hit play and it started playing music, but then I reset it (I think it reset) it would still have the glow, but wouldn't respond to anything I did. I tried pushing buttons to see if it would play a song or something, but the only thing it responds to is holding the play button to turn it off. I don't think I have a warranty on it since it's refurbished, and I can't afford to get a new one. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a hardware issue. If you've still got a warranty on it, send it back as soon as you can.

If you bought it less than a year ago, you do.

I just asked my mom and she said we didn't even buy it refurbished, it was just regularly used, and she said we definitely don't have a warranty on it, even though we did only buy it last Christmas.
Edit: and I do have a profile, but it doesn't say anything that I have a warranty or had one at some point. Last edited by xsheswaiting : 09-28-2008 at 04:03 PM. Reason: more info ![]() |

Try registering your Zune's serial number on the site if you haven't already. That should allow you to get a warranty repair, if you're lucky.
