No, I'd get a sync cable. If it says connect it to your computer. Then connect it. Go to Best Buy and buy it, it's like $20.

There is wireless sync. To set up wireless sync, connect your zune via sync cable (you can find one for like $10 at zune.net), then go into Settings>Device Settings>Wireless sync and start up from there. If your new cable breaks after that, you should be able to sync wirelessly. PS, if you haven't already, update to the 3.0. PM or Post me back if you get your problem fixed.
